The Austin Zoo

Despite the fact that I have lived here for 10 years, I have never before been to the Austin Zoo. On Tuesday we went for the first time... while it is no San Diego, Houston or even Dallas Zoo, It is impressive to 2 year olds!! Our friends Bianca and Harlow came with us and we had a great time.

The tigers were swimming in their pool and splashing and chasing each other. Harlow and Brady found this hilarious.
Feeding a llama...
and a goat...

This is by far the largest turkey I have ever seen- the thing could barely walk!!

Pee Pee in the Potty!!

Brady got his little frog potty about 2 months ago. He loves sitting on it but so far hasn't peed or pooped in it... until last night! Right before bath, Brady marched his little naked butt over to his potty, sat down and peed!! He was very proud of himself as were Mama and Daddy!

Brady's First Hockey Game

On Friday night Brady attended his first hockey game! He really enjoyed watching the game- which surprised me. I packed a bag of toys and snacks but we never needed any of them.

Clapping for the players...

At about 9:45, Brady laid down on the stair, said "night, night" and put this thumb in his mouth. We took that as our sign that it was time to leave. Last week we went to Zilker Park to ride the "choo choo" as B calls it.

Car Wash

Brady has become an excellent helper- give him a task and he is usually very proud when he accomplishes it. Yesterday we washed my car...

After we finished my car, Brady marched into the garage in got Cozy Coupe and got to work on him! It was so cute.

Our Little Longhorn

Here are a few pics from my last photo shoot with Brady- I had to bribe him with fruit snacks!

Giggle Box

The past two days Brady has been in a great mood. He thinks everything is funny. After dinner Andy and I were chasing him around the house and he was laughing so hard. TWe have great video of it but for whatever reason blogger will not upload it right now. Maybe later.

We went to gymnastics on Friday as usual but I didn't take my camera because I figured I had enough pictures of him at the gym- of course he had to go and learn some new things! They have a new rock wall that he loved climbing up and sliding down the other side and he finally went in the big blow up train/bounce house. He has been terrified of it from day one but this week he climbed right in, went up the rope wall and slid down the other side. He hopped out and ran around to the beginning to do it all again. AND he learned how to do a forward roll aka a somersault- it is so cute and he is very proud of himself. Hopefully he will perform again when I have my camera with me!

This week Curious George is out and Thomas the Train is in. Brady was relaxing in this rocking chair watching Thomas- a good way to start the day. I think he would leave "choo choos" on a continuous loop if I would let him!
Today Brady went into the pantry and got out the bag of chocolate chips, he opened the ziplock, removed the open bag of chocolate chips and helped himself. As soon as I saw him he started shoving handfuls of chips in his mouth knowing that they would be taken away soon.

I was busy making brownies so Brady got to lick a little batter off the folk when I was done. Lucky little boy!

Lately Brady has been into going for walks. He will take us by the hand and lead us where ever he wants to go- usually just around the block but the other day he lead us to the park that was at least 8 blocks away. He remembered exactly how to get there... Andy and I were shocked!! He walked all the way there and most of the way back!

Everyday Adventures

Brady was coloring with sidewalk caulk on the driveway when he removed his croc and started coloring the bottom of his foot. He laughed and laughed. What a nut!!
Daddy and B have been working on his baseball swing. Sometimes Brady gets a little confused between the golf swing and the baseball one... we are working on it.
B has a thing with shoes- he will put on any shoes left out. At least these were Daddy's- not Elle's high heels.
Last weekend we babysit a little one for a friend. He and Brady were so funny together.

Brady got an Elmo balloon as a party favor- which he enjoyed using as a punching bag. Poor Elmo!

Elle's Birthday

We celebrated Elle's 4th birthday while we were in Dallas. She dressed herself in her "party dress" and pearl necklace.

Brady enjoyed the ice cream cake...

She tore through all her presents... Dar got her a bean bag and princess blanket.

But her Daddy (and Emily) made her day with a brand new princess bike!

While she was enjoying her new bike- Brady tested out her old one.
Then we plyed outside in the beautiful weather.
