A Family Photo Shoot

No trip would be complete without an opportunity to torture my family...
(all I need is a tripod and a remote!)

 Guess who has the remote?
 30 Weeks!

A Little Trip to the Coast

We can't go on FL beach trip this summer so we planned a little trip of our own and headed to Port A for a few days with Jaime, Shane, Ben and Natalie.
The boys were had a blast playing in the sand and water-
and little Natalie slept most of the time on the beach.

Brady loved the water this year- more so than building sand castles.
He was pretty much always in the water!
We found a Portuguese Man-of War on the beach...
he seemed to be the only one- thank goodness!

The beach and a front end loader?!? What more could a boy ask for?

Brady was having a good time boogie boarding too.  He caught a few good waves with Andy's help.  (Can you tell it's raining?  We still played at the beach for a few hours but we all got cold and it didn't look like the rain was going to let up so we packed up and rented a movie for the afternoon.)

On our last night, we took a walk on the beach and had a great time watching all the clams and looking for shells.

Swimming

Brady insists that he does not want to take swim lessons and I insist that he MUST learn to swim and swim well.  We got to Bella's pool and swim about 5 days a week.  He is getting pretty good but he can't seem to figure out how to lift his head high enough to take a breath (a skill I can't seem to figure out how to teach).  He can swim under water for about 10 feet or so.

Here is a video from the other day.

Showing off his gymnastic skills

Brady has been going to gymnastic camp in June and July.  We are having a few separation issues but he seems to be over it now.  He has been begging to go to "Open Gym" to show me what he learned- so Monday morning we went.
He showed me his forward roll,
 backwards roll

 rings (and bar not pictured)
 high beam
And his favorite, the blow-up train!
He also loves the trampoline- look at that happy kid!

Happy Birthday Bella

Saturday was Bella's 5th birthday party at the bouncy house place.
Brady did the giant slide over and over and over again.

Then they did a little dance lesson- which none of the kids participated in.

After the party, Brady and a few friends rode the little train around the mall- all by themselves.  They were pretty impressed!

Round Rock Express

We got to go to a RR Express baseball game on Friday night.  Brady really enjoyed watching!
He is starting to take a real interest in the sport and Andy has been teaching him the positions and the practice in the front yard.  Brady is getting pretty good at hitting balls Andy pitches to him!

Kiddo likes to take crazy face pictures as he calls them...

We got to see fireworks too which was nice because we missed them on the 4th.

Oh and the Express won 6-4!
