Great Hills Carnival is Coming Up

Cityscape Adventure Race

Last Saturday, Jaime and I competed in the Cityscape Adventure race in downtown Austin.  It is sort of a mini Amazing race where you have to complete tasks and figure out clues, etc.  We were running (literally) all over downtown Austin.

We had a blast and were exhausted after!  We came in 22nd (out of 90) with a time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.  And we already signed up for the next one!

Another Pumpkin Patch

We headed to another pumpkin patch yesterday after school.  Brady had a great time climbing around on all the pumpkins.

 What could possibly be going on in that little head?

 Brady met a friend and begged to take it home.  I am not much of a cat person but this may have been one of the nicest cats on the planet!  Not sure how she would mesh with 2 dogs and a bunny tho!

Brady Read His First Book!

Last night Brady read a book all by himself!  (Sorry the video is not the best- trying to hold my phone with one hand and turn pages with the other!)

He also his first baseball that was pitched to him on Tuesday night- it went clear across the front yard!

Sweet Berry Farms

Saturday was the first day that felt like fall so we headed out to the pumpkin patch to meet up with Grammy and Gramps.  They had what seemed like thousands of pumpkins, squash and all types of gourds.  Along with flower cutting, a barrel train ride, hayrides, face painting, pumpkin painting and of course pumpkin ice cream... yum!

Fire Station Tour

We have been all about fire trucks lately!  Last Friday we toured our local fire station with a few friends from playgroup.  The fire fighter were super nice and showed the kids all sorts of cool stuff.

 And they let the kids spray the fire hose!!

National Night Out

Last Night was National Night Out... we had a great time hanging out with our neighbors!  

A fire truck came by and let the kids climb all over it. They had a blast!
