Water!!

We have been spending a little time enjoying the water lately…

here is Kenzie's 2nd pool outing to the country club.  She likes the water and thinks Brady is pretty funny when he swims by her.

 We joined Jaime, Ben and Natalie at their pool too- they have a really cool kids area.

Natalie and Kenzie really liked the bubblers and Brady had a blast playing with them.

 AND we finally got the boat in the water!! Kenzie did great with the life jackets and loved watching Andy and Brady swim.  Brady is a fish- especially with his life jacket on.  He had a blast jumping off the boat, climbing up and doing it again!

METS End Of Year Party

 Brady and his teammates got to go on the field at the Round Rock Express game for Little League Day.  They had a blast running the field with "Spike!"  Then we stayed and watched the Express play- though I'm not sure how much the kids actually watched the game. 

 The Met's season ended mid- May.  They were a great team!  We have plans to play with some of the kids again next season but some of the older boys will be moving up to coach pitch next season.

Wyatt's Birthday Weekend

Big Red turned 1!  It's hard to believe it has been a year since Wyatt Lane was born.  We all headed to Huntsville to celebrate over Memorial Day weekend.  The kids has a blast playing outside as always!

Long Lost Blog

It has been a LONG time since I've updated the blog.  A few days before Memorial Day, I called my sister and ended up talking to her boss about a job opening in the Austin area.  This started a whirlwind of thinking and talking about going back to work (something I was not even considering doing yet), preparing for interviews, updating my resume, shopping for work clothes, and starting a new job!  I still can't believe I'm back in the working world.  Once I got the job, I had to start the nanny search- something that was emotional, exhausting and a lot harder than I ever expected.  I officially started work on June 16th and it has been crazy.  I was in Dallas for training, then in Temple and Killeen doing ride alongs, camping for the weekend and then back to Dallas for another week of training.  The kids and I just got back yesterday afternoon.  They have been troopers- having other people care for them (Thank you, Grammy, Gramma Dar and Miss Sarah!!), sleeping in different places and having their worlds turned upside down.  On our drive back from Dallas Brady said, "Why did you have to get a job anyways, Mama?"  good question!!  I do think this will be good for the kids and me in the long run but these last 2 weeks have been LONG!  I will do my best to catch the blog up on all of our adventures...

GOLF!

After joining the club, I told Andy I was going to learn to golf- and I intend to!  We went on our first of many (hopefully) family golf outings.  

We even met a friend along the way...
