Daddy can build one amazing train track... I had to stand in the chair to be able to get it all in the picture! Hard to tell from this picture, but part of the track loops under the coffee table and there is a 2 story bridge that they named "Big Donut Hill" no clue where he came up with that one!

Daddy Builds the Coolest Tracks
Daddy can build one amazing train track... I had to stand in the chair to be able to get it all in the picture! Hard to tell from this picture, but part of the track loops under the coffee table and there is a 2 story bridge that they named "Big Donut Hill" no clue where he came up with that one!
A Chef in the Making
Brady loves to cook... any time I make anything, from chocolate milk to full on Thanksgiving dinner, Brady has to help. Tonight we made baked rigatoni. Aside from getting a little sauce on his shirt and spilling some all down the front of the oven- he did great! All during dinner he kept saying "I cooked this, isn't it delicious?" Humble little guy isn't he?
I enjoy his help on things like muffins, brownies, etc but when the stove is involved it just makes me nervous!
Back to the Circus
The Shrine Circus was back in town so we decided to check it out again. This was Brady's second time to go... he says he remembers going last year but who knows. It didn't start until 7:30 which is B's bed time but we figured we'd give it a try.

The elephants seemed to be Brady's favorite. This is Bo... they say he is the most famous circus elephant in the world... not sure who decides that but whatever.

Bo can do a handstand which just seems completely unnatural... sorry this shot is from the back but the poor guy couldn't hold his pose long enough for the pedestal to turn all the way around.

At intermission, Brady was looking pretty tired so we decided to call it a night. On our way out we ran into Miss Norma from school (she works at the venue) and she said she would send a clown up to meet Brady so we went back to the box for a little longer.
Sure enough, Mr. Splatter came to meet B.
Brady talked to him, gave him high fives and even compared shoe sizes with him. Mr. Splatter was super nice and even let Brady have his jumbo clown coins. Brady held onto them all night!

At that point, we figured we should stay for the second half. Two guys jumped motorcycles over things and did flips...
A man was shot out of a canon (see the little blur across the screen? that's the guy)... it was pretty cool.

It was all over a little after 10:30... and Brady fell asleep as soon as I put him in the car... notice Mr. Splatter's coins in his hand :)

An Update
Brady is done sucking his thumb!! He has done so well- great self control especially for a little guy. I have been watching him on the monitor when he is going to sleep to see how he does. For the first few days he would start to put his thumb in his mouth and remember he wasn't supposed to so he would wrap his blanket around his hand or put his hand under his pillow. So cute. Now he just cuddles his blanket and goes to sleep. Such a bog boy! Amazing what some Thomas rain boots can do(though he still doesn't get to wear them for a few more weeks)!
Our Friends Birthday Party!
