Brady took his first steps on Wednesday! He did 3 little steps in a row before going down on his knee. I am trying to get video of this new skill but he isn't performing a command yet. I will keep trying and post it ASAP!!
Our little man loves peas! They are quickly becoming his favorite food. He will eat as many as you put in front of him!
The Jensons headed to Austin last Sunday to celebrate Christmas with us. We had a great time and Brady loved all his new toys!
This is Brady's new rocking horse. Although he doesn't like to ride him yet he loves to pet him and push him around the living room.
Uncle Dan got Brady all set up for next football season with his own tailgating chair, UT hat and t-shirt!
A friend of ours built this beautiful bookcase for Brady for his first birthday. Brady loves having all his toys and books accessible to him and I love having a place to put everything!!
Brady started a new game of hiding from us in the car. We play peek-a-boo and since he can't go anywhere he just turns his head around and ignores us. It is hilarious!
Brady is learning many new things- among them how to use a spoon. He was trying to eat his spaghetti with a spoon- something even I haven't mastered! But it is fun to watch him try...
We discovered a park by our house that we had never been to before- it has tons of trees and paths and even a creek!
Our friend, Molly, was our tour-guide and loved pushing Brady's stroller and swing. Brady thinks Molly is hilarious!

Our Visit with Santa
Last Saturday we ventured down to New Braunfels for the Hill Country Christmas at Schlitterbahn. The park was decorated with more than 1.5 million lights, Santa and Mrs. Clause were there along with several other cool attractions. Brady met Santa for the first time... and he was not a fan of jolly old St. Nick!
He did ride the Merry-go-round and seemed to enjoy looking at all the lights and people!
He was asleep before we hit the highway!

Brady Turns 1!!
Happy Birthday to Brady! December 5th was his first birthday and birthday party complete with 2 cakes, BBQ and about 30 friends and family!
My friend, Whitnie, helped me make this amazing cake for Brady. There is no way I would have even attempted this without her help!
We gave Brady "his cake" and let him go to town. This was the first time he ever had cake and icing...
Then he opened presents- with the help of a few older friends and his cousin...
After a great birthday party, the guest of honor was ready for a nap!
His birthday was complete after dinner at Mighty Fine and a fun car ride home with Gramma tickling him! He stayed up till about 10:30- enjoying every minute of his big day!

Happy Thanksgiving
The entire gang headed to Houston for Turkey Day, except for Grandpa Rollie who decided a drive to IL was in order. It was nice to have (almost) everyone one together for the holiday.
It was such a beautiful day so we went to the park while the turkey cooked (in hopes of exhausting Elle and Brady so they would finally take a nap) .
Grammy, Gramps and Uncle Dan came over for dinner and a little football.
Thanksgiving held a first for Brady- a co-ed bath! I was running a bath for Brady when Elle came in the bathroom and hoped in the tub.
Elle enjoys taking pictures- and Brady always has a smile for her!
On Black Friday we did a little shopping which included a trip to the Houston Galleria. Elle and Bob went ice skating.
She enjoyed it for about 10 minutes.
After she was done skating, she went on the big trampoline thing and LOVED it. She wasn't scared at all!
