Happy Thanksgiving

The entire gang headed to Houston for Turkey Day, except for Grandpa Rollie who decided a drive to IL was in order. It was nice to have (almost) everyone one together for the holiday.

It was such a beautiful day so we went to the park while the turkey cooked (in hopes of exhausting Elle and Brady so they would finally take a nap) .

Grammy, Gramps and Uncle Dan came over for dinner and a little football.

Thanksgiving held a first for Brady- a co-ed bath! I was running a bath for Brady when Elle came in the bathroom and hoped in the tub.

Elle enjoys taking pictures- and Brady always has a smile for her!

On Black Friday we did a little shopping which included a trip to the Houston Galleria. Elle and Bob went ice skating.
She enjoyed it for about 10 minutes.

After she was done skating, she went on the big trampoline thing and LOVED it. She wasn't scared at all!

Longhorn Football

November 21st was the Longhorns last home game for the 2009 season. Andy tailgated all day but Brady and I didn't show up until about 2 hours before kick off. It was a fun game- Brady is so observant and really watched everything going on around him. It was a 7 pm game and actually got pretty chilly during the second half- thankfully we brought a hat along...
Colt set the record for the most wins in NCAA history. It was an exciting game to be at. Brady was a trooper- we stayed till the very end- and didn't get back to the car until 11:00!

A Man on the Move!!

Brady is such a mover! He loves the stairs- they have to be his favorite thing. He will climb up and down (he will go down a few and then hold his arms out for me to pick him up) the stairs all day. We get to the bottom and he immediately starts climbing up again.

If there is ever a moment when I have my back turned he crawls as fast as he can to the stairs! Keeps me on my toes! He has started letting go and standing on his own for a few seconds before he grabs onto something again.

Brady has also taken a liking to Hoss’s kennel- every mothers dream to have their baby playing in the dog kennel. It doesn’t matter if Hoss is in the kennel or not, Brady loves exploring.

His latest trick is emptying everything and anything he can. He will take EVERY toy out of his toy box and spread them out of the floor. Now I just need to teach him how to put them all back! He will do this with anything he can get his hands on. From laundry- especially laundry I have just finished folding that seems to be a favorite- to mail to Tupperware. What a fun game.

We finally finished the floors in our house- no more carpet!! Yea! So we got a new mat for Brady’s playroom. It is a foam puzzle mat that he loves. All the bright colors and letters- what’s not to like? He has already figured out how to get the pieces apart and apparently they make good chew toys as well. Daddy is working on teaching Brady to spell his name…

Em and Bob Got Hitched!

Brady got a new Uncle and his first cousin on November 8th! My sister and Bob got married in a beautiful Chapel in South Austin

Brady loves Elle. He just sits and watches her as she runs circles around him.

Brady loves to play "peek-a-boo"!! He was having a great time with all the pillars around the chapel.

We had dinner at Shoreline after the wedding. They created this beautiful cake- a rich chocolate- Em's favorite!

We made Em's flowers- aren't they pretty?!? Elle had some too.

Bob's family came in from Canada and our came from Houston, Huntsville and Dallas. We has a great time showing them around Austin. Saturday was such a busy day between lunch, the Capitol and the Austin Duck Tour Brady had to nap in his stroller!

Hard life- isn't it?
We had a great weekend!!
