Such a BIG Kid

Brady went for a ride in his Radio Flyer on Sunday morning. We had to go early before it got too hot but he loved it! It was sitting with his arm over the side just watching everything go by. I cannot believe how big he is!

Turtle Pool

Grammy got Brady a turtle pool for Easter and we finally got the chance to use it this weekend. The water was a little cold but Brady had fun splashing around and eating my sunglasses!

I finally went and had some pictures of Brady and I taken. It was hard to pay another photographer but I can't take the pictures and be in them!

Company Picnic

Last Monday night was K&N Management’s company picnic at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown. It was a great opportunity to get some pics of our little man.

Now that he is sitting up on his own we have so many more opportunities. Brady and I had to leave at 8 (6:30 or 7 is more his bedtime) but Andy said and lead the 183 Team to victory in the K&N Olympics. He now has the “trophy” proudly displayed in the 183 Rudy’s!

Reconnected

We have been out of touch for awhile now- a big storm blew through and knocked out our cable, internet and phone. Talk about feeling disconnected!

Brady got his first tooth- the bottom right- on Friday the 12th. He is such a trooper- I didn't even know it had come in until I saw it. On Tuesday his second tooth came in- the bottom left. He is growing up so fast!!

Welcome to the family Mater!!

Mater joined the Jenson household yesterday.
I wanted to get Brady a ride-on/learn to walk toy and the reviews for Mater were AWESOME! I know it is still a little early but hey! Andy and I went to Target to get one figuring Brady would just look at him and play with the buttons until he gets big enough. He can sit on him all by himself and he presses the buttons and laughs at all Mater's sounds, etc. He even stands behind Mater and holds on to his handle.

Needless to say Mater is a hit.

Baby Goes Boating!

Chuck and Sharon came to visit this weekend. We finally got the boat in the water- Andy, Dan, Chuck and Sharon went out in the morning to wake board.

Brady and I joined them after his morning nap. I would say our first outing was neither a success nor a failure- but somewhere in between. Brady seemed to like the water and wind and everything but he HATED his life jacket. I guess they really don't intend for babies that little to go on the lake because there are just no good options for life vests (which are required for all persons 13 and younger). The smallest life vest they make is for "Infants Up To 30 Pounds"- well there is a big difference between 15 pounds and 30 pounds! Brady was on the water for all of about 30-45 minutes before we called it a day. We will just keep trying and hope it gets better!!

6 Months!!

Where has the time gone?!?

I cannot believe our little one is 6 months old today. We had his well baby visit this morning- he passed with flying colors! He weighs 14 pounds 13 ounces and is 26.5 inches tall. He got 4 shots and although he wasn't too happy about them, he recovered quickly.

We have the green light to try more foods too. So far Brady loves rice cereal, prunes, pears and peas. I bought carrots and zucchini today to make for him. We will see how making baby food goes- otherwise we will go back to Earths Best.

Our monthly photo in his chair...

Weekend in Houston

Andy had "Man Camp" in Houston last weekend- so Brady and I decided to head to Houston for the weekend too. Emily, Bob and Elle decided to come on Friday afternoon and Brad and Christi drove down for the afternoon on Saturday. And of course Dad was there too!!

We had a little family reunion at the pool. Sharon and Chuck even came over to swim with us! Elle, who is 2 and a half, went down a HUGE water slide that my sister wouldn't even go down. I wish I had a picture of that- she did so good!

My fiend Niki spent the day with us on Saturday too. We played Bananagrams (such a great game!!) until like 10:30 which is late for me.

It was a great weekend!

New Roof

I'm not sure how many of you have had the pleasure of needing a new roof after a hail storm- or better yet being home while the old roof is torn off and the new one installed. This is our second new roof in 3 years because of hail but thankfully I was at work when they replaced the last one. I am amazed at how loud it is- I keep thinking that any minute the roof will give way and they will come falling into my house. It is like a herd of elephants with hammers up there! Brady is sleeping right through it. I put him down for his nap thinking there is no way he will fall asleep but sure enough he is out. Thank goodness for the sound machine!!

Tasty Toes

For weeks Brady has been working on getting those toes into his mouth- and today was his lucky day!
