Just Hanging Out

The weather has been beautiful the last few days and we have been outside all the time.
Andy wanted a limb cut down so Brady and I took care of that and Brady had a blast playing with it once it was down.
Even Hadley got in on the action!

Old girl still loves her tennis balls.  She will only fetch once then she won't bring it back to us anymore.  Its tough to be 10!
Macy loves to be out front with us too but she still has to be on a chain- can't trust the little one just yet.

Bluebonnets

It's spring in Texas so it's time for bluebonnet pictures.
Brady and I went this morning before school (a rare occurrence that we are both dressed and ready before it's time to get to school) and he was in a picture mood!

He took a little break to be a monkey on the exercise equipment.

Then we played on the playground for a few minutes before rushing to school. We were only 5 minutes late!

It's a...

We had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and the Dr said it's a girl!  He said he was 100% sure and we should "go buy paint."  I haven't bought paint yet but her closet now how several outfits in it! :)

And I haven't posted a belly pic yet so here ya go.. 16 week belly.
Brady took it for me :)

Hadley...

Hadley is getting bold in her old age.  I think she knows that we aren't going to really get mad at her after all this time.  She spends most of her time sleeping on the couch- something that is technically against the rules.  She occasionally ventures upstairs- I don't know if I should be mad or impressed that she can still navigate wood stairs at 10 years old.  She will get into the pantry and eat whatever she can reach and leave trash all over the floor- yesterday it was croutons and animal crackers.  But last week she got into my purse and took a box of raisins which are toxic to dogs.  I had to take her to the vet to get a shot to induce vomiting. She was not a happy camper and frankly neither was I when I got the bill! Here she is post- shot at the vet...
Trying to stay sitting on the ride home...
and recovering for the rest of the day.
Hopefully she learned her lesson!
I learned that hydrogen peroxide can make a dog vomit too- and it is much cheaper than the vet!

Happy Birthday to me

Monday was my 31st birthday.  It was a pretty quiet day for Brady and I.
We went to lunch with some friends and had dinner with Andy when he got back from a golf tournament.

Camping!

We went camping at Palmetto State Park last weekend.  It is a beautiful place and we all had a great time.  Our air mattress didn't hold air the first night and it was in the mid 30's so needless to say that was a LONG night!  I as able to get the mattress fixed the next day and it was a great trip after that.  We had our largest group to date- 9 families joined us!  We went hiking, fishing, canoeing, playing in the dirt and snake watching.  We even managed a crawfish boil while we were there. Another great camping trip- may be a last for a while.
Ben and Koen had boats that we tied string to, they would launch them and reel them back in (except when they let go of the string and we had to find creative ways to rescue the boats- again and again).
Brady and Daddy hanging out on the dock.
Brady and Harlow "digging for smoke" not sure exactly what that means but they were having fun!
 Hiking!

Snakes- can you see it (or them- I think it is too big to be one snake but we only saw one head).  Apparently Andy was fishing here for a long time before someone noticed his little friend in the tree.
Purging the crawfish- the kids were very interested until it came time to eat them! Hotdogs and hamburgers for them!
Hadley and Macy even got to go with us and I was amazed how good they were!  The slept in the tent with us and didn't bark or howl with all the strange forrest sounds at night.  They slept for a long time when we got back!
Brady loved "fishing" with his lighting McQueen fishing pole.  It was a rubber tire attached to the end so no one gets hooked.  He could cast it all the way across the pond!

Brady's grumpy face because he didn't want his picture taken- never stopped me before B!!

Happy (belated) Easter!

I know Easter was a week and a half ago but I am just now getting around to uploading pictures.  Brad, Emily and Mom and their families all came to Austin to celebrate with us.  We had a great time doing Easter egg hunts, a crawfish boil and we even squeezed in a hockey game.  It was a blast.  Although having everyone over makes me think we need a bigger house- especially with Baby Volker and Baby Jenson on the way!  Not sure where we could possibly fit 2 more people in this house!
