Kindergarten!!

Our little man isn't so little anymore!  He started KINDERGARTEN on Tuesday!
He did great on the first day of school, walked right in and said "Bye Mom, Bye Dad, Bye Kenz" and sat down his the line for his class.  I couldn't believe how well it went!

When I picked him up he was all smiles and told me he had a great day.  On Wednesday morning when I woke him up at 6:45 he was not ready to go back!  He got a little teary eyed at drop off but when I picked him up he told me he didn't cry all day.  He said he is having fun but hasn't met any friends yet. Thursday Andy dropped him off (in the Jeep- with Max!) and said he was a little teary but tried to hold it in.  On Friday he seemed to have it down- he gave us a high five and walked right in.
I think the poor kid is exhausted.  He told me he wished he was sick so he could stay home!
Silly boy- this is only the beginning!

Last Day of Summer Date

It is the very last day of summer before KINDERGARTEN starts- so Brady and I went on a mama son date to Main Event and to get ice cream.  It was a great way to wrap up summer!

Meet The Teacher

Hard to believe our little man is about to start school- real school!  We had meet the teacher today and he did great.  He seems very excited about his room and meeting all the kids in his class.  Hopefully the entire year will go as well as today!

Kenzie's 11 Months Old!

Another month has flown by and Kenzie is 11 months old!!  She is super active- crawling and pulling up on everything.  She is "talking" up a storm- a typical girl with lots to say.  Kenzie seems to be the most talkative in church… when everyone is singing, Kenzie joins and in keeps it up long after the song has ended.  She is pretty funny.
She loves Brady and tries to play toys with him all the time- Legos are not a baby friendly toy at all!
Kenzie now has 5 teeth.  2 up top and 3 on the bottom.  She is drinking her almond/coconut milk from a sippy cup and seems to be over bottles for the most part.  She loves stuffed animals, especially a pound kitty, blue care bear and a pink monkey.  When you give one to her she snuggles it tight and says "ohhhh"- pretty stinking cute!
She is gaining weight like crazy.  Her 6 month shirts are too short and her 6 month shorts are getting a little snug (reasonable for an 11 month old I guess), even her 9 month pjs are a little too short for her.
Her birthday party is in the works- I can't believe how fast it has all gone by!

Navarre Beach, FL

We rented a house on the beach, loaded up the car and hit the road for a week of sun and sand.  I was pleasantly surprised with hour well the kids did with the drive.  We borrowed a suburban from Andy's company and picked up Gramma Dar along the way- 2 things that I think helped a lot.  Gramma and Brady built (or tried to build) a Lego Jeep, trailer and 2 jet skis.  Gramma kept trying to talk Brady into coloring or playing Crazy 8's but he was determined to build those legos!  The final product left a little to be desired but it kept him occupied and HAPPY for the entire drive!

The house was great, the weather was beautiful, the kids had a blast and no one even got sunburned!
Get ready for picture overload!!

 Dolphins!!

Look at the big 10 month old!

Playing at the "big beach" waiting for the air show that never happened!

Luke loved on Kenzie all week long

A wave just got her in the face- completely soaked her!  Look at that little face!
 Body surfing… or trying to...

Tate man looks like such a big kid in this picture

 Searching for buried treasure...
 Brady LOVED the boogie board!

Counting our loot (and explaining the different values of dimes, nickels and pennies) I think we had 87 cents and one fishing weight.

 Cleaning fresh caught oysters

And a visit to the sno-cone stand...
this may be my favorite picture of the entire week!
