A Sea of Blue

Brady and I found a great sea of blue bonnets... he wasn't crazy about having his picture taken.

A Busy Saturday

Brady and I had a very busy, very fun day today. We started out with our first Easter egg hunt of the year. Brady was very patient as we wait for them to count down and say "Go!" Brady did great collect eggs and making sure to let other kids get some too. His basket was completely full!

Then we headed to Burnet to see Grammy at the lawn and garden show she helped put together. Brady got to plant seeds (he chose clover- Petra's favorite) at the children's booth.

The train station was right next door and the engineer let us go inside and see how he drives the train. Brady loved it!

Awards Dinner

Andy had an awards dinner a few months ago... we hardly ever have pictures together so I thought I'd share.

All Dressed Up...

and no where to go! My friend, Jaime, and I were supposed to do an adventure race (amazing race style) around downtown Austin a few weeks ago. It was super cold and raining but we were ready. Just as we were about to head out, we got the email that the race had been cancelled. Oh well!

I think it looks like I am ready to go hunting or fishing!

Flying Trapeze Class

In honor of my upcoming birthday, a few brave friends and I took a 2 hour flying trapeze class. It was literally in a circus tent in the middle of a big field in South Austin. We were a little uneasy at first but it was a BLAST! First they had us doing "leg hangs" where you hang upside-down from your knees and then do a back flip off onto the net. We worked our way up to a "catch" where we hung upside down from our knees and reached out to Chad and he caught us. I did not think there was any way I would be able to do it- but I did. Here is the proof!

Desperation...

I have been wanting/needing a haircut for a while now but Ms Wendy didn't have any appointments for about 2 weeks. Well tonight my desperation got the better of me. I asked Andy to cut my hair. He did a good job- just straight across (we will leave the layering to Ms Wendy!) Here is what was left behind...

Bunnies!!

We have two guests staying with us for awhile... Petra is the white bunny and Pashka is the brown and white bunny. They are very sweet but not at all used to the amount of attention they are getting at our house. I rented them to do bunny mini sessions for Easter. Brady keeps saying "I love my bunnies" and I quickly remind him that they are not our bunnies, we are just bunny sitting them. I really hope this does not back-fire!

Sunrise Beach Fire Department

We went to visit Grammy and Gramps the other day and met their friend who are on the SBVFD. They took us on a private tour of the fire station. Brady got to see all 6 of their trucks and learn what different role each truck plays.

He also got to see all the equipment.

His favorite was the light stick :)

I think he may have been a little overwhelmed with all the attention!

Playing in the Rain

It rained for several days so finally we geared up and went out to play in it!

Handwriting

Brady and I have been practicing handwriting the past few days. He has done really well sitting at the table and working. I get about 10 minutes out of him before he is ready to do something else. Here is some of his work.
