Day 3 Estes Park

Today we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park.  We started the day early to beat the crowds. Bear Lake was our first stop.  The kids loved using their binoculars and explore the trails... and off the trails. After Bear Lake, we hiked Alberta Falls and ate lunch at the top by the falls. After lunch we drove around the park and took it all in from the car. 

Day 2 Getting to Estes Park

We left Trinidad and headed north for Estes Park. It was only about a 4 hour drive and went by fast!  We got settled in at Manor RV park around 1:00. Brad and Christi arrived around 4 and Em and Bob around 5. Great to have everyone together!  It rained on us a little around dinner time but that didn’t stop us!  After dinner, we headed to town to do a little shopping and exploring. 

Yellowstone Bound!

Our Summer 2018 road trip began today!  We are bound for Yellowstone National Park with cousins. RVs have been rented, packed and loaded. We left Austin around 1:00 and made it to Trinidad CO around 12:30 am. Kids did great and loved being able to move around, potty and make sandwiches on the road. We spent our first night in the Walmart parking lot... but we were in good company! About 25 other RVs were camped out there as well.
