We bought a lion costume for Brady a few months ago. It has been hanging in his room since then so he could get used to it. He roared at it all the time and liked talking about the lion but every time we even took it off the hanger he would say "No, no, no!" Needless to say when it came time to put the lion on Brady was less than pleased. While he looked adorable- no one likes a crying lion, so we changed him into overalls and a hat so he could be Thomas the Tank Engine's conductor.
We went to the neighborhood Halloween Carnival that our playgroup put on. He had fun with his friends and playing "carnival" games.
Despite the fact that I have lived here for 10 years, I have never before been to the Austin Zoo. On Tuesday we went for the first time... while it is no San Diego, Houston or even Dallas Zoo, It is impressive to 2 year olds!! Our friends Bianca and Harlow came with us and we had a great time.
The tigers were swimming in their pool and splashing and chasing each other. Harlow and Brady found this hilarious. Feeding a llama... and a goat... This is by far the largest turkey I have ever seen- the thing could barely walk!!
Brady got his little frog potty about 2 months ago. He loves sitting on it but so far hasn't peed or pooped in it... until last night! Right before bath, Brady marched his little naked butt over to his potty, sat down and peed!! He was very proud of himself as were Mama and Daddy!
On Friday night Brady attended his first hockey game! He really enjoyed watching the game- which surprised me. I packed a bag of toys and snacks but we never needed any of them. Clapping for the players... At about 9:45, Brady laid down on the stair, said "night, night" and put this thumb in his mouth. We took that as our sign that it was time to leave. Last week we went to Zilker Park to ride the "choo choo" as B calls it. Brady climbing the rock wall at gymnastics.
