We went to Dallas this weekend to celebrate Luke's first birthday.
Beautiful table full of all sorts of treats, from cotton candy, peanuts and popcorn to cupcakes!Brady had a hard time waiting to eat cupcakes!
Brady and Luke sharing a bowl of cheese popcorn- yum...
It didn't Luke long to dive in...
He may have eaten the entire cake if Em didn't take it away from him!
This baby was ready for a bath!
Brady and Elle invaded Luke's crib on Saturday morning and they all 3 jumped up and down together. I'm surprised the crib didn't fall apart!
Brady, Hadley and Ty got to play in the back of Daddy's truck when we got back to Austin- something all 3 of them really enjoyed!

A Haircut for Mama
Today Brady came with me to get my haircut. He sat in the chair next to me and read his books and watched Miss Wendy cut my hair. He was so good- Miss Wendy gave him a lollipop when we left. When we got home Brady was petting my hair and said "Mama hair bo-bos. Miss Wendy cut Mama's hair make bo-bos." Silly little boy!

Extreme Fun!
Hiking Along Bull Creek
Daddy was off work last Thursday and the weather was beautiful so we headed out to hike along Bull Creek.
Brady thought it was funny to have the dogs in the car with us.
We hiked for over a hour and Brady walked about half of it all by himself.
The creek flooded a few months back and a lot of the trees were bent over or knocked over completely. Andy is standing next to this cluster of tress that fell over- look how big they are!!
Hadley and Tyson got to swim a little in the creek too.
When he got tired, Brady hitched a ride in Mama's backpack.
Well deserved cozy time before bed.
Thursday was also pre-school sign up day. Thankfully my number was among the first called and I got Brady and Harlow signed up for the fall!!

Brady in a Big Bed
Yesterday I got the great idea to convert Brady's crib into what they call a "daybed" (which is really just removing one rail and replacing it with a toddler rail). When he went into his room for nap time he started crying and said "Mama broke my crib!" He was very upset and wanted nothing to do with the crib. He climbed into the big bed and said "Brady sleep here." So he laid down for a few minutes... and then the doorbell rang- some neighbors had come over to play so Brady got to skip his nap. At bed time he climbed into the big bed, laid down and went to sleep. He stayed there all night and called for me when he woke up in the morning. And now he is napping in the big bed too! I am so proud of him but trying not to get ahead of myself in case this good luck doesn't last!

Our New Toy
For months I have been looking for a bike trailer and finally found a good one on Craigslist.
Brady is a huge fan of the safety flag- waving it around like a mad man.
I think he liked pulling it around better than riding in it.
Brady "baked" letter cupcakes...yummy.
It snowed on Thursday night/Friday morning. We had about half an inch on the ground when we woke up.
The first thing Brady said when I opened is curtains was "snow is a mess!" That little boy and his messes! We got all bundled up to play in it but Brady was not interested.
Hadley on the other hand was in heaven!! You never would have know that she is 8 years old by the way she was acting.
