Treehouse Monkey

Brady has always been a monkey and likes to climb but lately we have been watching a show called Treehouse Masters.  Pete Nelson and his crew build some amazing treehouses- so now Brady is all about climbing trees and wants to build a treehouse of our own!

Exersaucer

Kenzie loves to be upright.  She likes to stand on a lap and sit in her Bumbo seat so she can look around so I borrowed an exersaucer from friend.  Kenzie loves it!  Her little feet barely touch the ground but she has already figured out a few of the toys.  It's so cute to watch her play.

Hanging out in jammies with brother!

A Busy Saturday

The New Year started off pretty busy for us this year.  One Saturday morning we had a breakfast with friends- which was so much fun!  Last year we did it before Christmas and all the kids wore their Christmas pjs but this year we couldn't coordinate schedules so it had to wait until January.  I must say we have pretty great friends!
From the Breakfast, we headed to a birthday party.  It was beautiful weather and everything as outside.  They has a bounce house and petting zoo but you could only find Brady in the sand box or on the hammock.  Brady and Lucas hanging out on the hammock.
After the birthday party, Grammy and Gramps picked Brady up and took him to a train exhibit.  He had a blast.  I think that was his first adventure with just Grammy and Gramps.

Sports

Brady seems to be into just about every sport right now.  He likes playing soccer, basketball, golf, tackle football, tennis and baseball.  We have been enjoying the beautiful weather and playing at the park a lot lately.

New Year's Day

On New Year's Day we went hiking with some friends.  The weather was so nice- it was the perfect way to start the new year!

We let Brady up on the first story roof with us when we are putting up and taking down Christmas lights.  I make him sit against the house the entire time but he still seems to like being up there!

Family Pics

I bought a Groupon for pics at JC Penney's a while ago so we headed there on Friday.
Our appointment wasn't until 5:00 (which is not the best time of day for any of us really).  I think these were the only 3 pictures that Brady was somewhat smiling in.

Kids Say the Darndest Things

Brady is always cracking me up with the things that come out of his mouth.  I wish I would have written more of them down- so I figure I'll starting now (better late than never)!

The other day Kenzie hurt me...
 Me: "Ouch! Kenzie!"
Brady: "Kenz, be nice to Mama- she is like a thousand years old!"
Me: "I am NOT 1,000 years old!!"
Brady: "Well maybe not a thousand but you're REALLY old!"
Gee thanks Brady!

Brady got a Rainbow Loom for Christmas so we have been making a lot of bracelet lately (he doesn't really like wearing them but that doesn't stop us from making them).  On the Rainbow Loom website they have 3 categories of bracelets- Beginner (yellow), Intermediate (blue) and Advanced (green). Brady and I had made beginner and intermediate level bracelets without any problems when Brady asked Andy to make one. They were looking at the website to decide which one to make when Brady tells Andy. "Mama is only capable of making yellow and blue."  Again, gee thanks Brady.
